International Parliamentary Scholarship (IPS) by the German Parliament
The German Parliament (Deutscher Bundestag) runs an international Parliamentary Scholarship Programme for university graduates being interested in politics. Each year 120 scholarships are granted to graduates from 41 different nations. The programm lasts from March, 1st to Juli, 31st. Besides participating in seminars and events organised by Berlin universities the participants are appointed to Members of the German Parliament for 15 weeks to obtain practical experiences in Germany’s parliamentary and political system. Benefits of the scholarship are: payment of 450 Euro per month, free accommodation in Berlin, payment of the travel expenses and payment of insurance in Germany.
